Introduction

WorldSBK’s Indonesian round showed the risks of racing in Southeast Asia, with a tropical storm wiping out Saturday’s schedule and forcing both main races into a wet, unpredictable Sunday. Riders at least managed to complete practice and Superpole beforehand, where Chaz made an early tyre swap but slipped to 11th on the grid.

Hopes for dry conditions vanished as race one began on a damp track. Most gambled on slicks, cautiously feeling out the corners. Chaz held firm through the chaos, defending his ground to take 8th as the pace quickened late on.

Race two was even wilder. Torrential rain soaked the grid and delayed the start by hours. By the time the lights went out, the track was still sodden, hardly ideal for a farewell. But for Chaz, this wasn’t about results; it was about crossing the line one final time after a career built on grit, commitment and countless battles.
